A thorough analysis of S. Freud's articles will take place:

• Certain psychological consequences of the anatomical sex difference
• Notes upon a 'Mystic Writing Pad'
• Negation
• Constructions in Analysis

Seminar Leaders:

• Nadezhda Vladimirovna Main, Psychoanalyst, member of IPA, SPP. Psychiatrist, Cand.Psychol.Sciences. Founder and head of the School of Practical Psychoanalysis
• Paul Denis, Psychoanalyst. Titular Member of the Paris Psychoanalytic Society (SPP). Training analyst SPP

The "Evolution of Psychoanalysis" program continues with the examination of S.Freud's works:

• Neurosis and psychosis
• Reality loss in neurosis and psychosis
• Certain psychological consequences of the anatomical sex difference
• Notes upon a 'Mystic Writing Pad'
• Negation
• Constructions in Analysis

The seminar will last for 2 hours. For the first one and a half hours, Paul Denis will present the most crucial ideas from Freud's work and their evolution in psychoanalysis, followed by his answers to participants' questions. The session will end with a discussion led by N.V.Main. The seminar will have consecutive translation from French.

“When the Ego succeeds in defending itself against an obnoxious instinctual impulse through repression, it has subdued and injured a portion of the Id, but it has to pay for this by granting the Id a certain degree of independence and renouncing a part of its own sovereignty. This is the outcome of the nature of repression, which essentially consists in flight. The repressed becomes now 'free as a bird'. It is excluded from the large organization of the Ego and obeys only the laws prevailing in the unconscious realm.
